K-5 Student Resources
The following links are resources used to provide supplemental learning both in the classroom and at home. Students have free access to them through the district’s subscription to the Heartland AEA. To access the username and password for the resources, please contact your school librarian.
Book Flix– This is an online literacy resource that matches classic video storybooks from Western woods with related non fiction e-books from Scholastic to build a love of learning and reading.
Freedom Flix- This website, created by Scholastic, provides students with an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at people, places, and events that shaped our modern world.
Makinvia- This source provides easy access to many digital e-books and databases that cover a variety of content areas and interest.
PebbleGo- This database helps students in grades PreK-3rd improve their research skills in an environment that supports learning and fun! Pebble Go provides a read-along audio and word-by-word highlighting to help improve student reading.
Science Flix- This database is transforming the way students learn Science. Through interactive videos and content, students can experience first hand how scientists acquire knowledge, build an interest in science, and learn technology skills.
Tales 2 Go- This resource provides over 7,000 texts that are available for audio download in a variety of languages and genres.
True Flix- This highly engaging interactive resource offers hundreds of units to support science and social studies curriculum.
