Welcome to Gilbert Middle School

At Gilbert Middle School, we are dedicated to implementing the middle school concept and achieving at high levels. Our staff currently serves over 370 students in grades 6-8.  Our growing district seeks to offer outstanding programs and learning opportunities, while maintaining a small school feel. Modern facilities, a one-to-one laptop initiative, an emphasis on project based learning and over fifteen school-sponsored clubs make GMS a great place to go to school.  In fact, GMS is consistently ranked as one of the top middle schools in the state of Iowa by niche.com and received an exceptional rating on the new Iowa Report Card. At GMS, we believe that serving Every Student Every Day is the secret to our success.
