As many of you may have seen, we have a memorial wall in the stadium by our football field.  It is intended to honor the people of the community who have gone above and beyond to contribute to the strength of our district.  It currently has plaques honoring Doug Williams and Lindsay Ellingson, two very deserving individuals. We are happy to add another name this year; Joyce Lauridsen.  Joyce was nominated by several staff and community members for her work in the district as the Elementary secretary and her dedication to the soccer programs. She was delightful to work with, and I am so happy she will be memorialized in this way.  We will be dedicating her plaque at the last home football game on October 12th. We hope you can make it out to support our student athletes and to honor Joyce’s memory.

You may have seen some of the changes we have already implemented in our buildings as a result of the passage of our bond last year.  We have safer entries in the Intermediate and Elementary schools that are already completed. Work will be starting soon on the additions at the Middle School and High School.  We are accepting bids on September 11th for the work to be done on those buildings. We hope to begin construction by the first of October. I have also included some maps that will indicate where there will be construction fencing that will affect both buildings.  The parking and drop off area at the Middle School will be drastically altered but we feel the design will allow us to have an efficient traffic flow. We will keep you all posted as the progress continues and thank you for supporting our district.

Enjoy these waning days of summer as we transition to the fall season.
