Winter Warmth Drive

Winter Warmth Drive was a SUCCESS!!

Gilbert Intermediate School held their annual Winter Warmth Drive in December.  The Intermediate School PBIS Council delivered the items to two places in Ames that will distribute to families in need.  Items collected were coats, boots, hats and gloves.  Donations were made to Ames Youth & Shelter Services and Bethesda Coat Closet.

Our kids learned that Bethesda serves 1,776 families during the 2016 year.  They were surprised to hear that families are only allowed 3 items per member (free of charge) and that the clothing items go so quickly.  All of the kids were anxious to go home and find items that they could donate to such a great organizations.

If you want to donate, there is a blue bin inside the west doors of Bethesda Lutheran Church.

Thanks to all of you who donated to such a great cause!
