Iowa Assessments to Begin February 7, 2017

Each year, Gilbert Schools administers the Iowa Assessment.  This assessment tests student proficiency in the areas of math, reading, science, social studies, and vocabulary.  In preparation for the assessment please assist us in the following ways:

•Avoid being absent during the testing period (Feb. 7-17)

•Make sure your student gets plenty of sleep and eats breakfast

•Encourage your student to do their best on the assessment

These assessments are used to make educational decisions, rank schools on various sites, and measure educational progress.  As a result, it is important to encourage our students to “show what they know.”
